This shelf runs from light plush and velveteen throws through arctic fleece, sherpa, minky and quilted versions to a woven blanket, a sweatshirt blanket, a picnic blanket and a puffer, with hooded and travel versions alongside. A photograph, a collage, a child's drawing or a plain monogram all start the same way: one uploaded file or a note; we design it and email you a proof before anything is made. Several pieces here are embroidered rather than printed, which is the choice when the design is a name or initials. Production is 1 to 4 days before the blanket ships. Infant sizes and swaddles live on their own shelf, where the sizing notes belong with them.
Printed, embroidered, or woven
Most blankets here are printed, which is what a photograph or a full-colour design needs. The surface takes the artwork on one face; the reverse is plain, or on the sherpa styles a second, heavier texture.
Several pieces are embroidered instead — stitched thread, which carries a name, initials or a date as raised texture and is the better choice when the design is a few letters rather than a picture.
The woven blanket is a third thing entirely. The weaving guide explains that the pattern is built from coloured yarn as the cloth is made, so it shows on both faces and fine lettering softens.
Choosing a material and a size
Plush, velveteen and fleece are the lightest and smoothest, which is what photographic detail wants. Sherpa and minky add a deeper pile on one or both faces. The quilted and puffer styles are the heaviest pieces on the shelf, and the picnic and stadium versions are built for being carried and sat on.
Finished sizes differ by style rather than following one ladder, so each product page carries its own measurements. Infant sizes and swaddles are on a separate baby-blanket shelf.
Finishing a set around the blanket
The photograph that works on a blanket works on the wall: a canvas print is the usual pairing, and a mug completes a gift set. Stickers carry the artwork onto everything else, and a hoodie puts it on the person rather than the sofa.

- Does a photograph print on both sides of a custom blanket?
- On a printed blanket the design is on one face; the other is plain, or on a sherpa style a second texture. The woven blanket is the exception — its pattern is built into the cloth, so both faces carry it, reversed.
- How many photos fit on one custom blanket?
- As many as stay legible once laid out. A collage of a dozen is straightforward on the larger sizes; on a small throw each photo shrinks toward a thumbnail. Describe the layout in a note and check the emailed proof — what you approve is what gets made.
- What is the difference between a woven blanket and a printed one?

- Is a monogram better embroidered or printed on a blanket?
