Accessibility Statement

Last updated

We want everyone to be able to browse, personalise and buy from beldisegno.com, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, magnification, voice control or other assistive technology.

Our standard

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA on our public pages. We test with automated tools (Lighthouse and axe) and by hand with a keyboard. Automated scores do not catch everything, so we also review the parts of the site that change as you use them, such as menus, dialogs and forms.

Known limitations

Our last review found these problems. We are working on them:

  • The design editor (the canvas where you move text and images on a product) needs a mouse or touch screen. It cannot be used with a keyboard or screen reader alone. You do not need it to order: on almost every product you can upload your file and describe what you want in a note, or use the Get free design help link on the product page to send us your file and a question — our team replies by email and can set the design up for you. Every personalised order is shown to you for approval before it is made.
  • The product menu in the site header does not yet work fully with a keyboard. Every product category can also be reached from the Products page and the footer links.
  • Some dialogs and side panels do not return keyboard focus to the button that opened them when they close.
  • Some controls — the quantity buttons on product pages, some style pickers and some upload areas — are missing a clear name or selected state for screen readers, and some form field borders have low contrast.

Tell us about a barrier

If something on our site is hard or impossible for you to use, please tell us, and tell us what you were trying to do. We will help you complete your order another way — by email, for example — and we will use your report to fix the problem.

  • Email: support@beldisegno.com (subject line "Accessibility")

We aim to reply within 5 business days. If you need information from this site in another format, ask us and we will do our best to provide it.

Compatibility

The site is designed for current versions of the major browsers. It uses semantic HTML, a "skip to content" link, a visible keyboard focus outline and text alternatives for product images.
