There are vinyl and matte banners for events, wood signs and a wooden hanging sign, a metal art sign, a slate desk plaque for a name, and a protest sign built to be carried. Your artwork goes on at full size — a name, a date, a logo, a photograph — and you approve a proof at the finished proportions before anything is made, which matters more here than anywhere else because these are read at a distance. Production is 1 to 4 days before the piece ships. Lawn signs on stakes have their own shelf.
Temporary banner or permanent sign
The banners are the flexible formats: they roll up, and they are the right answer for a birthday, a stall or a single day. The vinyl banner is the larger and sturdier of the two.
The rigid pieces are for things that do not change. The wood signs and the wooden hanging sign suit a house name or a room. The metal art sign is the crispest of them at a distance. The slate desk plaque is the smallest and is made for a desk or a door rather than a wall. The protest sign is built to be held rather than fixed.
Signs on a stake pushed into grass are a separate shelf, because the fixing changes the whole format.
Designing something read at a distance
The failure mode here is too many words. A banner read from across a street carries about as much text as a road sign; everything else becomes texture. Pick one line to be large, keep the contrast high, and let the rest be small.

The banners and the metal and slate pieces are printed differently again, and each product page states whether that piece is intended for outdoor use.
What else carries the event artwork
An event rarely needs only a banner. A flag covers the approach, stickers label everything on the table, a canvas print is what the photograph becomes afterwards, and a blanket is the keepsake version for a milestone.

- Less than most plans allow for. One short headline large enough to read at a distance, plus a line or two of detail, is the working limit for something seen across a room or a street. Extra copy is not read — it just lowers the contrast of the line that matters.
- Can a custom sign be left outdoors?
- Each product page states whether that piece is intended for outdoor use, and it varies across the shelf — a vinyl banner, a wood sign and a slate plaque are not the same object. Read the page for the piece you are ordering rather than applying one answer to all of them.
- Does a custom banner arrive with a way to hang it?
- Each banner ships with the edge finish it is made with, and the product page names it. No poles, frames or rope are included, so the banner fits hardware you already have.
- Wood, metal or slate for a family name sign?
- Wood for a warmer, domestic look, and it suits lettering in one or two colours. Metal if the sign needs to read crisply from a distance. Slate is the smallest of the three and is made for a desk or a door rather than a wall.
- Can a photograph be printed on a banner?
- Yes, at full size, and a banner is one of the few formats with room for a photograph to be seen properly. Upload the largest original file you have — a banner enlarges whatever it is given, so a small image shows every shortcoming at scale.
