The failure mode here is too many words. A banner read from across a street carries about as much text as a road sign; everything else becomes texture. Pick one line to be large, keep the contrast high, and let the rest be small.

An event rarely needs only a banner. A flag covers the approach, stickers label everything on the table, a canvas print is what the photograph becomes afterwards, and a blanket is the keepsake version for a milestone.
