There are three pillow shams, the decorative covers that sit in front of the pillows once the bed is made: a quilted sham, a cotton pillow sham and a microfiber pillow sham. Prices run CHF 23.66–CHF 34.64 depending on the style. A photo pillowcase suits a partner far away, a grandparent, a child's bedroom or someone who misses a pet; a monogrammed sham suits a guest room or a wedding gift. A pillowcase is the cover you sleep on. The microfiber pillowcase is the one for a photograph, and the satin pillowcase has a smooth, glossy face for a name, a pattern or a photo.
A pillow sham is a decorative cover for the pillows propped at the front of a made bed, usually moved aside at night. The quilted sham has a stitched, padded surface, the cotton pillow sham is cotton, and the microfiber pillow sham prints a photo or a pattern in full colour.
How a photo goes onto microfiber, satin and cotton
The microfiber pillowcase, the satin pillowcase, the quilted sham and the microfiber sham take colour that bonds into the fabric, so a photo keeps its detail and there is no layer on top to feel at night.
