This shelf runs from glass to soy jars to tins and gift sets. There is a frosted glass candle and a glass candle, a scented candle in a full glass, soy candles in an amber jar and with black or white lids, a soy wax candle in a jar, candles in coconut apricot wax, tin candles, and a soy candle with an engraved bamboo lid rather than a print. For a bigger gift there are sets: a candle with a wick trimmer, and a four-piece set with a candle, a blanket, a crochet bouquet and a bow clip. Prices run €22.07–€38.63 depending on the style. Upload a photo, add a note with your text, or both; we design the candle and email you a proof, and nothing is made until you approve it.
Frosted glass, glass, soy jar or tin candle
The frosted glass candle gives a photo a soft, even backdrop. Where the design is printed straight onto a clear glass candle, the wax and the flame sit behind it and become part of the picture, which suits bold lettering or a graphic more than a detailed portrait. The soy candles come in an amber jar and with black or white lids, alongside a soy wax candle in a jar, the coconut apricot wax candles and the full-glass scented candle. Tin candles suit wedding favours, a place setting or a thank-you for every guest.
One candle is engraved: the soy candle with a bamboo lid has its design cut into the lid in a single tone, so it suits a name, a date or a monogram rather than a photo. The engraving guide shows which artwork holds up in one tone.
Candle gift sets with a blanket, bouquet or wick trimmer
The sets do the gift-building for you. The glass candle and wick trimmer set pairs a candle with a wick trimmer, and the four-piece set adds a blanket, a crochet bouquet and a bow clip to the candle.
Candles alongside other personalized gifts
A candle pairs easily. Add a greeting card with the same photo, a mug for a morning set or a blanket for an evening one, or put a framed photo beside it for an anniversary.
Custom Candles With Your Photo, Name or Message — common questions
- Can a photo go on a custom candle?
- Yes, on the printed candles, including the frosted glass and glass candles. The soy candle with the engraved bamboo lid is the exception: engraving cuts the design into the lid in one tone, so a photograph becomes a silhouette, and that candle is best kept for a name, a date or a short line.
- Should a photo go on a frosted glass candle or a plain glass one?
- Frosted glass for a detailed photo, because it gives the picture a soft, even backdrop. Where the design is printed straight onto clear glass, the wax and the flame show behind it, which suits bold lettering or a simple graphic better than a portrait.
- Which custom candles are scented?
- The candles sold as scented include the full-glass, glossy-label and hand-poured scented soy candles and the clear glass jar candle, and the amber jar candle comes scented or unscented. Where a candle offers a choice of scent, it is picked on that candle's own product page.
- What comes in a custom candle gift set?
- The glass candle and wick trimmer set pairs a candle in a clear or amber glass vessel with a wick trimmer, and the four-piece set brings a small soy candle, a blanket, a crochet bouquet and a bow clip together.
- Which candle suits wedding favours or a party table?
- Tin candles and the smaller 4oz jars suit a place setting where each guest takes one home, and a name and a date make them a keepsake of the day. For a single gift at the head table, a frosted glass candle with a photo of the couple is the fuller choice.
