Personalized dog collars, tags, bandanas and a leash
A collar or tag is the everyday piece. The engraved faux leather collar and the engraved aluminum collar tag cut the dog's name or a phone number into the front rather than printing it on top, and the tag comes as a circle, a heart or a bone. The guide to engraving metal tags covers how small the lettering can go, and the engraving guide explains why an engraving works in one tone. The heavy-duty clip-on nylon collar is printed instead, so it can carry a pattern or a background colour with the name and number.
Bandanas suit a dog dressed for a birthday, an adoption day or a wedding: the soft-spun polyester bandana, the clip-on bandana and the adjustable bandana collar all take a photo or text. The retractable dog leash carries a name or a short word on the front of its handle.
Dog parkas, jerseys and shirts for a dressed-up dog
For a dog that dresses for the weather or the occasion, there are two padded dog parkas in khaki with faux fur-trimmed hoods, a cotton dog baseball jersey, a sleeveless cotton dog shirt and a foam trucker hat for the dog, each taking a photo or text. The parkas and the jersey carry the design on the back. The jersey suits a name and a number for game day, and the shirt a matching outfit with the owner, whose own shirt is on custom t-shirts and whose own hat is on custom trucker hats.
More gifts for dog owners
Food mats, a pet bowl, a pet bed, a printed pet tag and two pet hoodies with a collar hole are on the pet gifts page. For the owner rather than the dog, a mug with the dog's photo is on custom mugs, and an ornament with the dog's photo and the year is on custom ornaments.
Personalized Dog Gifts With Your Dog’s Name or Photo — common questions
- Should a personalized dog collar be engraved or printed?
- Choose the engraved faux leather collar when you want the dog’s name cut into the collar in one tone. Choose the heavy-duty clip-on nylon collar when you want a photo or colour, because it is printed rather than engraved.
- Where does the name go on a personalized dog leash?
- On the front of the handle of the retractable dog leash, the one surface on a retractable leash that carries personalization, so keep it to a name or a short word. The leash is black, and it extends and locks in place.
- What is the difference between a dog bandana and a bandana collar?
- The soft-spun polyester bandana is a bandana on its own, and the clip-on bandana clips onto a collar the dog already wears. The adjustable bandana collar joins bandana and collar band in one piece, so there is nothing to tie. All three take a photo or text.
- What should I engrave on a dog collar tag?
- The dog’s name and one short line, such as a phone number, because a collar tag is small and engraving works in one tone with no shading. Keep the lettering bold; a detailed logo or a photo will not engrave cleanly at that size.
- Which dog gifts let a dog and its owner match?
- The cotton dog baseball jersey and the sleeveless cotton dog shirt both take a photo or text, so the same design can go on the dog and on a shirt or hat for the owner. Personalize each piece with the same file and approve each one before it is made.
- Is the foam trucker hat for the dog or for the owner?
- The foam trucker hat on this page is dog apparel, made for the dog to wear, and it takes a photo or text. A trucker hat for the owner is on the custom trucker hats page.
