Custom Postcards With Your Photo or Text — common questions

Should I choose postcard bundles with envelopes or without?

With envelopes when the card should travel sealed: an invitation, a save-the-date, a private thank-you, or a photo you want covered in the post. Without envelopes when the card is addressed and stamped on its own back, or handed out at a stall, on a wedding table or across a shop counter.

How do I make a 'Greetings from' postcard?

Choose a wide photo of the place, upload it, and ask in the note for the words Greetings from with the town's name in large, bold letters across the middle, the style of a vintage travel card. Check the proof to be sure the lettering sits inside the safe area and reads clearly over the photo.

Should I pick the 7-piece matte postcard set or the white 10-pack?

Count the people on your list first. The 7-piece matte postcard set covers a short list, such as grandparents and godparents, and the white 10-pack postcard set covers a longer one. For more cards than either set holds, the group orders page linked above is the place to start.

What is a fine art postcard?

The single postcard on this shelf, sold one at a time rather than in a set, for a painting, an illustration or a photograph you want to send once or keep as a small print on a shelf or a pinboard.

Can custom postcards be used as save-the-dates?

Yes. Put the couple's photo on the card with the names, the date and the town in large type, then choose the bundle with envelopes if the cards travel to guests sealed. Check every date and spelling on the proof, because nothing is printed until you approve it.
