Custom Photo Prints With Your Photo and Text
A custom photo print is for the picture that deserves the wall rather than the camera roll: a wedding portrait, a newborn, a travel view, a pet or a family gathering.
How personalizing works
- Pick the giftAny piece here. Order one, or many of the same.
- Send a logo, photo or noteUpload a file, write us a note, or both.
- Approve your proofWe design it and email you a proof. Nothing is printed until you approve it.
Same logo on every piece: order one or many, no minimum.
The prints here come in different papers and forms. Unframed prints come without a frame, ready for one you already own, for clips and pins, or for a gallery wall. Photo art paper posters print the photograph on art paper, and photopaper posters print it on photo paper, two different papers for the same picture. Prices run € 14,68–€ 24,78 depending on the paper and size. Upload the original photo and add a caption, a name or a date in a note if you want one; we crop it and email you a proof. Nothing is printed until you approve that proof, so you see the crop and every word before anything is made.
Unframed, photo art paper or photopaper
Unframed prints are the photograph on its own, with no frame, for a frame you already have, a clip display or a wall of pinned prints. Photo art paper posters put the picture on art paper, and photopaper posters put it on photo paper. Each product page shows its own sizes, so compare the two before choosing.
If you would rather not frame it yourself, framed posters come behind a frame, canvas prints put the photo on canvas, and acrylic prints on an acrylic panel. For a painting or a drawing rather than a photograph, custom art prints offer giclée and fine art papers.
Getting a sharp print from your photo
Upload the original file straight from the camera or phone, not a screenshot or a copy saved from a chat or a social post, which keeps far fewer pixels. Old printed photos can be scanned flat. When the shape of the photo differs from the shape of the print, the photo is cropped, so check on the proof that heads and horizons sit where you want them. The guide to printing photographs on paper explains bleed, the safe area and which file formats to upload.
More ways to use the same photo
The same picture can become a custom puzzle for a family evening, or one month of a photo calendar that keeps a year of pictures on the wall.
Custom Photo Prints With Your Photo and Text — common questions
- Do custom photo prints come with a frame?
- No. The unframed prints come without one, ready for a frame you already own, and the photo art paper and photopaper posters are unframed sheets as well. For a photograph that arrives behind a frame, look at the framed posters shelf linked above.
- Will my photo be cropped to fit a custom photo print?
- It can be, when the shape of the photo differs from the shape of the print, such as a tall phone picture on a wider sheet. The proof shows the crop before anything is made, so you can check that faces and horizons sit where you want them, or pick a size closer to the shape of the original.
- Can I make a photo print from an old family photo I only have on paper?
- Yes. Take it out of any frame, scan it flat at a high setting or photograph it square-on in even daylight, and upload that file. The proof shows the result on the print before anything is made, so faded corners or creases can be checked first.
- Can I add a caption or a date to a custom photo print?
- Yes. Add a name, a place, a date or a short line in a note, then check it on the proof. Keep the words a little way in from the edge so the trim cannot reach them.
- How do I order several photos as a matching set of prints?
- Order each photo as its own print and choose the same style, paper and size for every one, so a run of travel photos or a year of baby milestones hangs as a matching row. Ask in the note for each to be cropped the same way, for example all portrait or all landscape.
