The quilted polyester placemat is a padded, stitched mat with a softer feel under a plate, closer to a table linen. The leather placemat is much smaller, a table mat for under a mug, a vase or a centrepiece rather than a full place setting. Prices run NZ$41.83–NZ$49.11 depending on the mat. For a dining table, the one-sided cotton placemat is the full dinner-size mat, printed on the side that faces up, and the quilted polyester placemat is the padded option with a stitched surface and a softer feel. The leather placemat is a small table mat: think under a coffee mug, a plant or a candle rather than a dinner plate, or a single mat on a sideboard or a desk.
